I have been planning to write this article for more than a year now. We have already played a bunch of Sega Master System Co-op games, most of them in fact but to be honest we haven’t cleared a lot of them. This is due to a simple fact; we do not like the games enough!
Yes… In our opinion the Master System is a pretty weak system for co-op and by far the weakest of the ones we have covered so far. Nevertheless we would like to present you with our 10 favorite co-op games on the system. It is hard for us to rank them in a particular order since none of them really deserves very high praise, Just keep in mind that very few if any of these games would make it to out Top 10 Co-op NES Games.

We have been playing Neo Geo occasionally since we got a Neo Geo CD just over a year ago. Because of the long loading times the system suffers from, and also because not all Neo Geo games were released on the NEO Geo CD we played some games on the Wii virtual console and a few on the Nintendo Switch. In fact, the Neo Geo is having it’s renaissance now with most of the system’s games getting releases on the Xbox One, PS4 and the Nintendo Switch. I am loving playing Neo Geo games on the road on my Switch. Those versions have highly customizable settings which is just what these games needed.
The Neo Geo AES was the ultimate arcade home console at the time but the system and the games were too expensive for normal people so they released the more affordable Neo Geo CD which is infamous for long loading times (I find it ok its just an excuse to have a sip of beer/coffee). The system had an extremely long lifespan of more than 10 years ranging from the beginnings of the 16-bit era until the end of the 32-bit era and beyond for a few late titles.
These are arcade games, all of them being co-op or 2 player. The system is most famous for the fighting genre but the Neo Geo has a solid release for all arcade style genres from run and gun to sports games.
Let’s dive into the top 10 games for the Neo Geo!

After playing the Sega Master System steadily for the last 2 years we feel that we are finally ready to give you a top 10 list for the system. Arguably more powerful than the NES, the Master System still wasn’t able to generate the same popularity as the NES except maybe in Europe and Brazil where it was relevant way into the early 90’s.
Although heavily beaten by the NES the Sega Master System still has plenty of games worth playing.
These are our 10 favorite:

So it has come to this… We have gone through the all the classic Castlevania games which means that of course we have to rank them from worst to best. Check it out and see if you agree! Or flame us if you don’t
To qualify for this list the game has to be a pre-Symphony of the Night Castlevania game. In other words not a “metroidvania” game.

It´s been a long time coming but we are finally here with a Top 10 SNES Games list for Cousin Gaming. I have always felt that we cannot make this list properly because we haven’t played ALL the games for the system yet, but in the end I think we have played MOST of the games considered to be good on the SNES so if we happen to find a title that we really like we will just update the list.
In the meanwhile enjoy the list as it is!

I have been putting this off for a long time since i was never really happy about what my top 10 list looked like. I just had a hard time finding games deserving to be on a prestigious list like this. But in the end i just have to go with my gut feeling and dish it out. Although i love the Sega Mega Drive for what it is i just feel the list lacks a bit in quality when compared to the NES and SNES list and maybe even the Turbografx16/PCEngine list but that does not mean that the Sega Mega does not have a few gems on there! Even if it means the quantity is less.
I try to represent all the most popular genres of the time and as always there is the only one game per franchise unless i feel the games just absolutely deserve that.
