I have been putting this off for a long time since i was never really happy about what my top 10 list looked like. I just had a hard time finding games deserving to be on a prestigious list like this. But in the end i just have to go with my gut feeling and dish it out. Although i love the Sega Mega Drive for what it is i just feel the list lacks a bit in quality when compared to the NES and SNES list and maybe even the Turbografx16/PCEngine list but that does not mean that the Sega Mega does not have a few gems on there! Even if it means the quantity is less.
I try to represent all the most popular genres of the time and as always there is the only one game per franchise unless i feel the games just absolutely deserve that.

Top 10 Turbografx/PC Engine Co-op Games
The Turbografx16 is a fanastic system but it might not be known for great 2 player co-op games but there are a actually a lot great games that come to mind if you add the Japanese library in the mix.
Because of this the Japanese only games have the obvious drawback of being in Japanese but in these cases it should not ruin your experience, but maybe just hinder it slightly…
This is the result of some intense Turbografx/PC Engine sessions we have been taking in the last months. It is made with pure love and with thorough playing of almost all co-op titles on the system

Top 10 Co-op Console Side-Scrolling Beat ’em ups (retro)
We have been playing so many games in this genre it wouldn’t make any sense not to make this list. We are absolute addicts for 2 player co-op side-scrolling beat ’em ups and we have played almost all of them since we have always actively sought them out.
I realize this list may be a bit of a rehash from out other system co-op list but it includes a few original games we have never mentioned before 🙂

Top 10 Turbografx/PC Engine games
Holy hell these past 2 months have been heavy on the Turbografx/PC Engine. I got a PC Engine Duo-R in Japan a few months ago and I have been extremely happy with that purchase. Being from Europe I never even heard of the system until the Wii shop became live. Back then I didn’t give the system the respect it deserves and now I see how much of a waste that it was because this system is packed with great titles and may be the most underrated, unappreciated video game console of all time.
Top 10 Sega MD/Genesis Co-op Games
We have been playing our asses off the last few months, and a lot of that playing time went into playing 2 player co-op games on the Sega MD/Genesis for the purpose of making this list. We have played a bunch of Sega MD in the past but never really delved into the co-op library, so after a lot of research and playing, we are finally ready to present you with what we think are the top 10 co-op experiences for the system.
Top 10 NES Co-Op games
Alright, we have been playing a lot of 2 player NES co-op lately and are ready to unveil our top 10 experiences! There are a lot of games to consider, and we have played almost all of them, though I’m sure we missed a few. Playing a good game with a good friend is something we love to do and we are sure you do too. We cousins want to help you with what games are best to have a great time!
