Wild Guns (SNES 1994)

The wild west…and robots! Genius idea. This gallery shooter from Natsume reeled me right in with it’s concept and the four selling points on the cover. This game is “The first Sci/Fi Western” ,awesome, an “Intense shoot’em up action” , pretty awesome, it has “True arcade feel!”  awesomer! And is”2 player simultaneous” Awesomest!
Let’s see if the game lives up to the extreme expectations set by the cover.

UPDATE! It’s worth looking into the PS4 remastered edition! Wild Guna Reloaded. It’s a bit expensive but it has an online leaderboard 2 more characters and 2 more stages! The 2 new stages are only available in single player and the multiplayer has no continues so it can get pretty brutal and boring playing the 1st stage over and over again. This remake is a bit disappointing if you wanted to play the new stages in co-op.

Review: Knights of the Round (SNES 1994)

Knights of the Round. When i got this game i was hoping for an ok Final Fight/Streets of Rage kind of fantasy co-op beat em up, but we cousins were very pleasantly surprised. I saw that it was a Capcom so it had to be at least pretty good, but it still puzzles me why this game is so little known because the quality of this game is through the roof. Out of all the side scrolling beat em ups we have played this one has to be one of the best if not the best. This is originally an arcade game so i have to say it has been ported very well. Awesome different characters, lots of cool moves, super tight controls and awesome environment and music.

Review: Castlevania III: Draculas Curse (NES 1989)

Now this one. Castlevania III: Dracula’s Curse is not controversial at all. This is plain action, platforming thriller that makes your heart beat. After the not so successful Simon’s Quest, Konami decided to go back to the gameplay of the very successful Castlevania 1, but this time with a few awesome twists.

Review: Castlevania: Simon’s Quest (1987 NES)

Oh man… It is time to review Castlevania: Simons Quest. This game who has always been so very controversial. Many of you have probably seen the angry video game nerd‘s video or other videos that completely slam this game to the ground but i still have something to say and add to that.

Review: Castlevania (NES 1986)

Castlevania is a game that should not need any introduction but i am going to do it anyway. The 1986 Konami game was only the beginning of what would become an immensely popular franchise. The game was released on the NES/Famicom which of course means a world of technical limitations but like so many other games on the NES it remains one of the most satisfying video game experience of my life.
